WLAN
In the Mathematical Institut are the wifi networks "eduroam" and "GuestOnCampus" available, like in all other univerity building. It can be configured on almost all devices with the GWDG instructions. It is a requirment to haven an univerity account (from a participating university) like every student and employee has.
For historical reasons, the unencrypted wifi network "uni-math" is also still available in parts of the building for conferences, which can be used without any access requirements. It is recommended to use a VPN.
LAN
studentische Zugänge
Es stehen im Übungssaal, CIP-Pool1 und Bibliothek Rechner für die studentische Nutzung bereit während der Institutsöffnungszeiten. LAN-Zugänge für externe Endgeräte werden derzeit nicht angeboten.
Mitarbeiterzugänge
In den Mitarbeiterbüros sind die Rechner an das 82er-Netz angebunden. I.d.R. sind die dortigen Netzwerkdosen nur linksseitig gepatcht und rechts unbelegt. Um ein Endgerät in diesen Netz zu nutzen muss die MAC-Adresse des jeweiligen Geräts von der Systemadministration erst freigeschaltet werden.
